Upcoming Events/Activities:

               NCA will have it's second "Community Shred Day" at Resurgens Bank Parking lot, 2300 Henderson Mill Rd, 9:00am til 12:00 pm, October 30.  Bring those old files/statements for safe disposal. Free with donations to NCA Requested. We hope to have these twice a year with the next one tentatively planned for late April, 2011. Stay tuned.

Recent Events:

            Trees Atlanta/NCA Tree Watering/Pruning

            Day, July 3, 2010

Fifteen volunteers, including 12 from Trees Atlanta and 3 from NCA, spent Saturday morning pruning and watering the trees planted by these 2 organizations and lots of volunteers in 3 planting days over the past 6 years.  The trees look healthy, despite the heat and drought and they are now cleaned up and looking beautiful.  Thanks to all of the volunteers!

Community Open House - Proposed Chick-Fil-A Restaurant, Lavista Rd (Former Taco Bell Site)

Annual Meeting: NCA held its 2010 Annual Meeting at Briarlake Baptist Church on May 20, 2010.  Approximately 200 people attended and enjoyed a wonderful presentation from noted author, columnist, radio/tv personality, Walter Reeves.  Mr. Reeves gave a humorous and informative presentation on "Lush Lawns, Landscapes, and Neighborhood Beautification."  Ted Rhinehart, Deputy COO, Dekalb County Infrastructure, discussed resources in his departments for beautification and environmental preservation.  Chairman, Tom Ulbricht gave an update on development and activities of the NCA during 2009-2010.  Chandler Brown, Operations Mgr, for Northlake Mall, told the audience about new tenants and improvements at the Mall.
